EM3270 Emulator Command Set
Statistics Collected
Table 4-2 lists the statistics gathered by an EM3270 emulator process and applicable
constants. These statistics enable you to determine optimal values for defined EM3270
emulator constants.
STATUS Command
The STATUS command displays status information about the EM3270 emulator process
or the terminal tasks within the process. When /OUT file-name/ is specified with the
command, the information is written to the file named file-name. The STATUS
command queries logs open, backup processes, and operational aspects, not
configuration information.

Statistic Comments
ACTIVE TASKS Number of tasks currently active, including the monitor.
MAX ACTIVE TASKS Maximum number of tasks ever active on this run.
MEMORY POOL
CONFIGURED Number of words currently reserved in the primary extended
memory pool.
INUSE Number of words that are currently allocated.
MAXINUSE Maximum number of words that have been allocated.
BUFFER POOL
CONFIGURED Number of words currently reserved in low memory for
emergency use.
INUSE Number of words that are currently allocated.
MAXINUSE Maximum number of words that have been allocated.
MESSAGES
TO HOST Count of messages sent to the IBM or Fujitsu host system(s).
FROM HOST Count of messages received from IBM or Fujitsu host(s).
TO APPLICATION Count of messages sent to the Tandem-based application(s).
FROM APPLICATION Count of messages received from Tandem-based application(s).
TO TERMINAL Count of messages sent to the terminal(s).
FROM TERMINAL Count of messages received from terminal(s).
DURATION
time Elapsed time since the EM3270 emulator started or last STATS
CLEAR command was executed.
