 | on the system |

 | If you use the PATHWAY system across a network, |
 | <pathmon-name> must: |
 | |
 | • Consist of no more than five characters |
 | |
 | • Begin with a dollar sign ($) |
 | |
 | • Be unique among the names of the processes executing |
 | on both systems |
