170 NRM WRITE request for
multipoint line had invalid
station entry number, or
station entry number
different from currently
active output entry number.
Supply valid number in MCW.
171 NRM
Primary
No response to poll,
command, or WRITE.
Retry or perform higher-level
recovery; the specific action is device
dependent.
NRM
Secondary
Not being polled. Place station in LDS.
172 NRM Improper response to poll or
command.
Same as 171.
173 WRITE request had invalid
MCW or associated frame
was retransmitted configured
number of times without
being accepted by the remote
station.
Supply a valid MCW.
175 all WRITE procedure aborted
due to receipt of FRMR. Or,
READ aborted because of
invalid control field.
Perform a higher-level recovery
(usually involves a reset).
176 NRM Limited poll expired. Post another READ to continue
polling or take other action as
desired.
177 all Text overrun (data exceeds
read count).
read-count was too small;
read-count should always equal
maximum frame size.
178 NRM Missing address list. Checking coding of DEFINELIST
call.
179 all CONTROL request is
preempted by another
CONTROL call.
Check program and recode;
operation could not be performed
because a CONTROL request was
pending.
