Example
Example 5-4, ADD PROFILE Command, on page 5-7shows how to add a PROFILE
object. The PROFILE name can be any name that conforms to the naming guidelines
in the WAN Subsystem Configuration and Management Manual. In this example, the
PROFILE name is #MYANRM. PEXFANRM is the name of the template file, or disk
file, that HP supplies for the ADCCP-NRM communications protocol. $ZZWAN is the
name of the WAN subsystem and $SYSTEM.SYS01 is a sample file location.
ALTER Command
The ALTER command is a sensitive command that changes the attribute values of an
object.
ALTER DEVICE Command
Use the WAN subsystem SCF ALTER DEVICE command to change the values of a
data communications subsystem object, such as a modifier. The ALTER DEVICE
command changes only the specified attributes of the target object. The command
syntax is as follows:
$ZZWAN.#device-name
indicates the name of the DEVICE object in the configuration database and is also
the name of the corresponding data communications subsystem object. This is the
name of the SWAN concentrator as specified in the ADD DEVICE command. You
can use the asterisk (*) to specify all configured DEVICE objects.
ADAPTER conc-name
indicates the SWAN concentrator to be used by the DEVICE. The name of SWAN
concentrator object as specified in the ADD ADAPTER command.
Example 5-4. ADD PROFILE Command
-> ADD PROFILE $ZZWAN.#MYANRM, FILE $SYSTEM.SYS01.PEXFANRM
