Optional Modifier Descriptions
ABM/NRM
Specifies the protocol mode for this particular EnvoyACP/XF line-handler process.
EnvoyACP/XF automatically supplies default values according to the specified
PROFILE object. You may specify the appropriate modifier in the PROFILE object for
reference. For further information on the protocol modes, see Section 2, Introduction to
EnvoyACP/XF.
ABMSETP/NOABMSETP
If you specify ABMSETP modifier, EnvoyACP/XF automatically sets the poll bit (P-bit)
in supervisory frames. (Some system configurations require the poll bit to be set in the
initial supervisory frame; this modifier meets this need.)
NOABMSETP allows the application to set the poll bit explicitly by specifying the first
bit in the Message Control Word (bit 0 =1) when the application issues a WRITE call.
You cannot alter this modifier by issuing a SETMODE procedure in an application or by
issuing an SCF ALTER LINE command to the EnvoyACP/XF subsystem.
