Optional Modifier Descriptions
ADDRESSn
Specifies the address that EnvoyACP/XF automatically puts in the address field.
EnvoyACP/XF assumes this address when you open the line.
Table 3-3 lists the ADDRESS modifier for each protocol.
Default: n =1: ADDRESS1 (Octet 1) = 1 for PEXFAABM and PEXFHDLC
n=2: ADDRESS2 (Octet 2) = 3 for PEXFAABM and PEXFHDLC
n=3-4: ADDRESS3 through ADDRESS4 = 0 for PEXFAABM and
PEXFHDLC
n=3: ADDRESS1 (Octet 1) = 193 for PEXFANRM and PEXFSDLC
n=2-4: ADDRESS2 through ADDRESS4 = 0 for PEXFANRM and
PEXFSDLC

Range: ADDRESS1 (Octet 1) = 1 through 254 for ABM and HDLC
ADDRESS2 (Octet 2) = 1 through 254 for ABM and HDLC

* Octets that are not used have a default value of zero. The default value of zero is appropriate for NRM
configurations when you do not specify ADDRESS2, ADDRESS3,ADDRESS4; and for ABM configurations in
which you should not specify ADDRESS3, ADDRESS4. These default values indicate to EnvoyACP/XF that
these addresses are not required for this configuration.
However, if you specify one of these ADDRESS modifiers inappropriately and also specify a value of zero, an
error occurs.
