Optional Modifier Descriptions
•
If the station receiving a TEST frame is in the Logical Disconnect State (ADCCP
LDS/SDLC NRM) or the Information Transfer State (ADCCP ITS/SDLC NRM), the
TEST frame is handled according to the modifier settings and the following
circumstances:
•
If the TEST frame has the P-bit off, the receiving station in LDS/NRM ignores
the TEST frame.
•
If the TEST frame has the P-bit off and the receiving station does not already
have the F-bit, the TEST frame is discarded. That is, a station in ITS/NRM
does not process a received TEST frame when the station does not have
permission to respond.
•
If a valid TEST frame is received but the size of the frame exceeds the
maximum frame size configured for that station, the response to the TEST
frame is a FRMR. This response (to an overrun TEST frame) is transmitted for
a station that is in either LDS/NRM or ITS/NRM.
•
If an application has removed a station from the active poll list through the
CHANGELIST procedure, any TEST frames received for that station are
ignored until the station is placed back onto the active poll list.
The AUTOTESTRESP/NOAUTOTESTRESP modifiers are supported only through
WAN subsystem.
You cannot alter this modifier by issuing a SETMODE procedure in an application or by
issuing an SCF ALTER LINE command to the EnvoyACP/XF subsystem.
BDCASTON/BDCASTOFF
Enables the #BDCAST virtual subdevice for a line. When #BDCST is enabled, the
supervisory station can transmit to all tributary stations configured for that line by
writing to #BDCAST rather than by listing all the stations.
You can set or override this modifier by issuing a SETMODE 16 call but not by issuing
an SCF command to the EnvoyACP/XF subsystem.
CONFIGURABLE/NOTCONFIGURABLE
When this modifier is enabled, XID is sent immediately rather than waiting for a poll.
