You can set or override these modifiers by issuing a SETMODE 16 call in an
application or by issuing an SCF ALTER LINE command to the EnvoyACP/XF
subsystem.
IDLERESPRR

IDLETIMER
Specifies a timer for the communications link. The significance of the IDLETIMER
modifier depends on the protocol mode.
In ABM configurations, combined stations share the link responsibility. In these
configurations, time can pass without any transmissions on the link. IDLETIMER
specifies how long the link waits without transmissions before an RR frame is sent to
find out if the other station can receive and send transmissions (Figure 3-2). The time
between idle line RR frames is sometimes referred to as a heartbeat.
Default: 50 (0.5 second)
Units: .01 seconds
Range: 2 through 32767
