Optional Modifier Descriptions
You can alter this modifier by issuing an SCF ALTER LINE command to the
EnvoyACP/XF subsystem but not by issuing a SETMODE procedure call in an
application.
V25/NOV25
Specifies that this line can be used with a V.25 bis-compatible modem for serial
automatic calling. You can use this capability with both NRM and ABM protocol
configurations.
You can alter this modifier by issuing an SCF ALTER LINE command to the
EnvoyACP/XF subsystem but not by issuing a SETMODE procedure call in an
application.
NOV25 disables V25.
XFERTIMERn
Specifies the time by which transmission of a frame should be complete. This modifier
controls a timer that starts when frame transmission begins and that is cleared when
frame-output completion occurs. For most configurations, omit this modifier and use
the default value calculated by EnvoyACP/XF. (This value is calculated based on the
values specified for SPEED and FRAMESIZE.)
If you specify a value, specify a period longer than the time required for the
transmission of a frame that has an information field of FRAMESIZE n bytes at the rate
of speed of the link. If you are using a half-duplex line, allow time for line turnaround.
