Polling
Polling
Polling is initiated when the supervisor station calls the READ procedure while the line
is in a CONTROL state. This call also reads the first message from the responding
tributary station. The supervisor station must then call READ for each additional
message from the tributary station. Messages are read until an end-of-transmission
(EOT) indication is received from the tributary station. See Polling
