Polling Interval
Polling Interval
The polling interval specifies how long Envoy waits, following a pass through the poll
list, before beginning a subsequent pass through the poll list. Figure 4-5 shows the
polling interval.
The polling interval is specified for a communication line when issuing the ADD
DEVICE command and can be altered by calling the SETMODE procedure.
The time interval between polling, during a pass through of the poll list is determined by
how long the individual stations take to respond to the poll.
