Programming Examples
Programming Examples
The examples in the next pages show the following operations:
•
Polling of a tributary and sending messages to the supervisor
•
Selecting of a tributary and reading messages from the supervisor
Both operations are shown in the same example program. The program is located in the
tributary station of a centralized multipoint network. The tributary program must
perform the following actions:
1. Accept a message from the home terminal and, when polled, send the message to the
supervisor station (the supervisor station then sends the message to the designated
station in the network)
2. Accept a message from the supervisor station when selected, and display the
message on the home terminal.
