Abstract
The Envoy subsystem provides general-purpose protocol support that enables 
application programs or terminals to communicate over communications lines on a 
ServerNet wide area network (SWAN) concentrator. This manual describes Envoy 
application programming, management functions, and the implementation of protocols 
used with Envoy.

indicated in a new edition.
