Management Functions Provided by Envoy
The Envoy subsystem enables your application to perform the following tasks:
•
Change line characteristics, or attributes, of the Envoy subsystem
•
Obtain information about the current attributes of the subsystem and its processes,
lines, and controllers
•
Obtain a list of the currently defined Envoy subsystem objects of a given type or a
list of those subordinate to a specified process
•
Start and stop Envoy processes
•
Obtain information about the product name and release version of the Envoy
subsystem and its components
•
Obtain statistics about the subsystem and its processes
•
Reinitialize the counters used to collect statistics information for the Envoy
subsystem and processes
•
Start and stop tracing of Envoy subsystem process activity
•
Force the secondary CPU to become the primary CPU
