needed while a READ is in progress.
LEOTRESYN and NOLEOTRESYN Modifiers
D-series versions of Envoy
Supports both LEOTRESYN and NOLEOTRESYN.
G-series versions of Envoy
Supports only LEOTRESYN. It does not support NOLEOTRESYN.
Treatment of Characters After the Termination Character
D-series versions of Envoy
Characters after the termination character (ETX/ETB) are transmitted by the controller
and the receiver gets a Text Overrun error.
G-series versions of Envoy
If there are any characters after the termination character (ETX/ETB), ENVOY does not
transmit the message. Instead, it returns file system error 161. The receiver times out and
returns error 162.
Number of SYN Characters
D-series versions of Envoy
Number of SYN characters can be between 2 and 15.
G-series versions of Envoy
Number of SYN characters have to be even. If the configured number of SYN characters
is an odd number, it is made even by adding 1. But the SCF display shows the
configured value only.
DTR Drop
D-series versions of Envoy
When DISCONNECT is received (DLE EOT), ENVOY drops DTR irrespective of the
line type (PPNSW or PPSW).
G-series versions of Envoy
ENVOY drops DTR (when DISCONNECT is received) only for SWITCHed (PPSW)
lines.
