Required Modifiers
Required Modifiers
You must specify the following modifiers for each full-duplex Envoy line-handler
process. Full-duplex Envoy line-handler processes are types (7,30), (7,31), (7,32), and
(7,33):

DEDICATED on page 3-14 (required for full-duplex (FDX) lines only)
•
ONEUNIT on page 3-27 (required for full-duplex (FDX) lines only)
•
RSIZE on page 3-33
•
SUBTYPE on page 3-35
•
TYPE on page 3-39
These modifiers are described in the subsection, Modifier Descriptions
.
Optional Modifiers
To customize your configuration, you can specify some of the following modifiers. Most
of these modifiers have default values that come with the profile disk files in your
system. Some of the defaults differ, depending on which profile disk file you have
specified. These defaults are noted in the following subsection, Modifier Descriptions.
Modifier Descriptions
Table 3-3 lists the Envoy modifiers and the rest of this subsection describes them in
more detail. Default values are provided for the communications protocol (such as BSC,
which is associated with the PENVBSC profile disk file). When the default value differs
depending on the communications protocol, the default value is provided for each
communications protocol. If a single default value is listed, this indicates that all
communications protocols have the same default value.
