Modifier Descriptions
DEDICATED is specified, the BUFSIZE n modifier, which defines the size of the
dedicated buffer, must also be specified.
You must specify this modifier for full-duplex BSC lines (device types (7,30), (7,31),
(7,32), and (7,33)).
DSRSENSE
Default: ON
Units: Not applicable
Range: Not applicable
Alternate modifier: None
This modifier applies to SIMPLEX and ASC lines only. It enables DSRSENSE
capability for the asynchronous protocol. If ON is specified, the loss of the DSR modem
signal is sensed and reported as an error during a READ or WRITE operation.
DSRSENSEOFF
Default: DSRSENSEON
Units: Not applicable
Range: Not applicable
Alternate modifier: DSERSENSEON
This modifier applies to SIMPLEX and ASC lines only. It disables DSRSENSE
capability for the asynchronous protocol. The loss of the DSR modem signal is not
sensed during a READ or WRITE operation. This modifier can also be altered using the
SETMODE 147 function as follows:
param1.15 = 1 (DSRSENSEOFF)
param1.15 = 0 (DSRSENSEON)
The CONTROL 11 and CONTROL 17 operations complete without waiting for DSR if
either a SETMODE 147 with param1.15 = 1 or DSRSENSEOFF is set.
DSRSENSEON
Default: DSRSENSEON
Units: Not applicable
Range: Not applicable
Alternate modifier: DSERSENSEOFF
Note. DSRSENSE is a line modifier whereas DSRSENSEON and DSRSENSEOFF together
give the corresponding device modifiers.
