Error Messages
This section lists warnings and error messages. NonStop Kernel file system messages
are described in the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual.
System-supplied Values
In the warning and error messages, system-supplied values are shown in one of these
ways:
Angle brackets and an italicized value
A series of slashes (\\\\\\\\\\\)
A slash and an asterisk (\*)
Warning Messages
The following listing defines the warnings you might encounter when using EMS
Analyzer.
EMSA 20318
Cause. You specified a start time for which EMS events have not been kept in EMS log
files. They are not available anymore.
Recovery. The distributor is now positioned by default at BOF. You can do research
from BOF, or specify a later start time value.
EMSA 21000
Cause. While waiting for a response from EMSA distributor, a response from an
unknown distributor was received.
Recovery. This is a warning. No specific action is required. Waiting for a response from
EMSA distributor.
EMSA 21001
Cause. Since the Starttime specified by the user was too early in the past, the position
into the EMS source file has been set to BOF.
Recovery. This is a warning. No specific action is required.
Event messages for this timestamp are not available anymore
Response received was not from EMSA distributor...continuing
Starttime was set to Beginning of File (BOF)
