Sample EMS Analyzer Installation
Sample EMS Analyzer Installation
This section provides a sample EMS Analyzer installation. This sample assumes that
you are logged on as SUPER.OPER and that the current EMS Analyzer installation
subvolume is $SYSTEM.ZEMSA.
1. At the TACL prompt, log onto the system as the system administrator or super user:
1> logon super.oper, password
2. At the TACL prompt change your current subvolume to the EMS Analyzer ISV:
2> volume $system.zemsa
This command sets your default subvolume to the EMS Analyzer ISV.
5EMSA-EMSDIST-
NAME
emsdist-name Specifies the name of the consumer
distributor used by EMS Analyzer.
Each EMS Analyzer user should use
a different name.
If you do not want to specify the
name of a distributor, you can specify
SYSTEM-GENERATED as the value
for this parameter and EMS Analyzer
will assign a system generated name.
The default value is SYSTEM-
GENERATED.
6EMSA-EMSDIST-
PRIORITY
emsdist-
priority
Specifies the priority at which the
EMS Analyzer consumer distributor
will be executing. It is recommended
that a low priority (relative to your
online applications) be given to the
distributor. The default priority value
is 100.
7EMSA-EMSDIST-
PRIMARY-CPU
emsdist-
primary-cpu
Specifies the CPU number in which
the EMS Analyzer consumer
distributor will execute. The default
CPU number is 0.
Note. You must be a super user to install EMS Analyzer; you do not need to be a super user to
use it.
