Editing the EMS Analyzer Custom Configuration File
From the installation of EMS Analyzer, a custom configuration file (EMSACSTM) is
created. If this file is located in your default subvolume, it will be read each time you
execute EMS Analyzer program command, EMSA. This file can be used to pre-
configure your session parameters. Use the ALIAS
facility of EMS Analyzer to create
shortcut commands for often invoked commands as desired. You can also set up function
keys to invoke some of EMS Analyzer commands. For example, the F1 function key is
defined as the INFO command. Each time you press the F1 function key, EMS Analyzer
interprets this key as the INFO command and executes this command.
For a sample of an EMSACSTM file, refer to Appendix C, EMSACSTM File
.
Once you have used EMS Analyzer a few times, you will have some preferences that
you can put in the EMS Analyzer custom file. Use the VOLUME
command to be
positioned into the subvolume where the EMS Analyzer custom file (EMSACSTM) was
installed:
1> volume $volume.subvol
Edit the file EMSACSTM by using EDIT or TEDIT, and then run EMS Analyzer.
Guidelines
The EMSACSTM file must be on the default subvolume of the current user ID or you
can use a TACL ASSIGN command to point to this file if it is located on a different
subvolume (see Section 2, Installation).
