Examples of Selecting Events
The DUMPLOG command starts the search.
Example
Selecting Expand Event Messages (Event Number 117) from a
Specific Log File
The following command searches for all EMS event messages coming from the Expand
subsystem, with event number 117 (network traffic aborted), from a specific EMS event
log file. To do this, type the following at the prompt:
The first command sets the EMSLOG attribute to a specific EMS event log file.
The second command sets the start time to Beginning Of File, the stop time to End Of
File and the subsystem ID and event number filter parameters.
The DUMPLOG
command starts the search.
Note. When you specify the null value for the stop time parameter, the search continues until
the BREAK key is pressed. If the EMS source is a log file and you specify the stop time as the
null value, the search continues until the end of file.
