Defining the Output Destination
Example
Selecting Event Messages from a Customer Subsystem
The following command searches for events from a customer subsystem in the past
12 hours:
The first command searches for events generated by the customer subsystem called
bigbank.16 in the past 12 hours.
The DUMPLOG command starts the search.
You can customize the file EMSASSID to include the names of your own subsystems.
This file is used for reference. For the default version of EMSASSID, see Appendix B,
EMSASSID File.
Example
Defining the Output Destination
This subsection explains how to define the output destination for one or more commands
entered at the EMS Analyzer prompt. You can also define an output file for selected
events using the EVENTDB attribute of the ALTER command.
Changing the Output Destination
To specify the output destination for an EMS Analyzer session, use the OUT command.
For example, if you use the following command, EMS Analyzer would begin sending its
output displays to the specified spooler destination:
-> out $s.#emsa
