You can use Enform to make reports with EMS Analyzer’s output. You can also
download EMS Analyzer’s output to a workstation to make graphics with workstation
tools.
Making Enform Reports
You can use Enform to make reports once the Enscribe database is created. To start
Enform, type the following at the prompt:
-> enform
The previous command runs Enform without exiting EMS Analyzer. Enform can be run
from within or outside of EMS Analyzer. The Enform command prompt is the greater
than sign (>).
> ?Dictionary $vol.subvol
This command specifies where to find the dictionary for Enscribe files. The location
should be the one specified when EMS Analyzer was installed (refer to Section 2,
Installation).
For a description of the default DDL dictionary for the Enscribe file, see Appendix A,
Event Data File Record Definition.
This command assigns the logical record to the physical database file name:
> ?Assign event to $data.emsaens.emsadb1
The logical record for Enscribe database is always “event”, as specified in the EMS
Analyzer DDL source file EMSADDL.
The Assign of the logical record to the physical database file is required when the name
of the database file is not the default name (EMSADBE) specified in the EMS Analyzer
DDL source file.
