Downloading Files to a Workstation
You can use workstation tools on the Macintosh or PC to make presentation quality
graphics of EMS Analyzer results.
The size of the CSV file to be downloaded depends on the number of events selected and
written to this file. Typically, an event in the CSV file takes around 400 bytes.
For a Macintosh
Type the following from the TACL prompt:
This downloads the file using XMODEM. You have to select the Receive option on your
Macintosh to specify the receive file name, and then the file is transferred.
The file is now on your Macintosh and ready to be used by a workstation tool.
For a PC
Type the following from the TACL prompt:
This downloads the file using IXF and designates the receive file name.
The REC 4096 option minimizes the transfer time for binary transfer.
The file is now on your PC and ready to be used by a workstation tool.
1> XMODEM S CSV-filename
1 > IXF GET (BINARY, REC 4096) CSV-filename AS PC-filename
Note. EMS Analyzer generates a CSV file in which each field is separated by a comma (,).
Depending on the workstation tool you are using, you might have to adapt your file to be
compatible.
