Organization This manual is organized as follows:
Section 1 introduces Exchange/RJE and provides an overview of how you can use
it.
Section 2 provides instruction on how to use the Exchange/RJE command
interpreter, including the use of command files to automate repetitive operations.
Section 3 describes each Exchange/RJE command in detail.
Section 4 provides instruction on how to use the Exchange/RJE programmatic
interface.
Section 5 describes the most common system procedures used with the
Exchange/RJE programmatic interface.
Section 6 describes the files that make up Exchange/RJE and provides information
on how to define data communications lines for use with Exchange/RJE.
Appendix A lists the Exchange/RJE error and informational messages. It also
contains a section listing the information you should gather before contacting
Tandem when you have a problem with Exchange/RJE.
Appendix B is an ASCII-EBCDIC code translation table.
Appendix C provides a brief review of Binary Synchronous Communications
(BSC) link control.
Appendix D contains two example programs. One example program illustrates
the use of the Exchange/RJE programmatic interface. The second is an example
user-exit procedure. A description of the interface and some guidelines on writing
a user-exit procedure are also included.
Appendix E contains information about D-series systems.
