RESET Command
Exchange/RJE Commands
3–48 104698 Tandem Computers Incorporated
PRI[ORITY]
sets the line server’s execution priority to the same priority as the
Exchange/RJE command interpreter.
PRO[GRAM]
sets the program file from which a line server is started to the RJESV file on
the system, volume, and subvolume on which the Exchange/RJE command
interpreter resides.
RETRIESE[OT]
resets the value of RETRIESEOT to -1, indicating that the remote station can
send an EOT with no preceding text an unlimited number of times.
(Exchange/RJE does not terminate the read operation because of too many
EOTs.)
RETRIESI[DLE]
resets the value of RETRIESIDLE to -1, indicating that Exchange/RJE retries
the read operation upon receiving timeout errors on an idle line (where the
remote station is not sending any data) an unlimited number of times and
does not terminate the read operation.
SE[RVER]
sets the line server’s name to an undefined state. If a CONNECT command is
executed when the line server’s name is undefined, a new line server is started
and the line server is assigned a temporary process name by the operating
system.
TRAC[E]
sets TRACE off.
U[SERLIB]
resets the user library specification to its default or initial state, which is the
default user library (RJELIB) residing on the same system, volume, and
subvolume as the Exchange/RJE line server.
Note that the RESET USERLIB command can be used only when the
command interpreter is not connected to a line server.
Considerations The RESET command sets one or more configuration parameters to their default
values. Once a line server exists, whether or not the command interpreter is connected
to it, you can change only the TRACE, RETRIESEOT, and RETRIESIDLE configuration
parameters. The remainder of a line server’s configuration parameters are set when
the line server is started and cannot be changed later.
