Exchange/RJE Manual

SET Command
Exchange/RJE Commands
104698 Tandem Computers Incorporated 3–63
\
system
must be the name of an existing Tandem system that is part of the same
EXPAND network as the system on which the Exchange/RJE command
interpreter is running. The data communications line and the ACU, if any,
must reside on the same system.
If the data communications line resides on the same system as the line
server, you can omit \
system
. However, if the line server and the data
communications line do not reside on the same system as the command
interpreter, the location of the data communications line is more apparent
if you specify the system name even though it is not required.
NO[NSTOP] { ON | OFF }
specifies whether or not an Exchange/RJE line server backup process is
started when an Exchange/RJE line server is started.
If you specify NONSTOP ON, a backup process is started when the
Exchange/RJE line server is started. You must name the line server using the
SERVER parameter if you specify NONSTOP ON. A process must be named
to operate as a NonStop process pair.
If you specify NONSTOP OFF, no backup process is started unless you specify
a backup CPU in the CPUS parameter. If you specify a backup CPU in the
CPUS parameter, a backup process is started even if you specify NONSTOP
OFF.
If you omit this parameter, the default value is NONSTOP OFF.
PRI[ORITY]
priority
specifies the execution priority of the Exchange/RJE line server.
priority
can be a number between 1 (lowest priority) and 199 (highest priority)
inclusive.
priority
can also be 0, which specifies that the line server is to
run with the same priority as the Exchange/RJE command interpreter. See the
Guardian Programmer’s Guide for suggested values for
priority
.
If you omit this parameter (or specify an execution priority of 0), the line
server runs with the same priority as the Exchange/RJE command interpreter.
PRO[GRAM] [[[\
system
.]$
volume
.]
subvolume
.]RJESV
specifies the system, volume, and subvolume that contains the Exchange/RJE
line server program file (RJESV). This parameter causes the next CONNECT
command to start a line server from the RJESV program file that resides on the
specified subvolume, volume, and system. You can use this parameter to start
a line server on a system other than the system on which the Exchange/RJE
command interpreter resides.
If the command interpreter and the line server are on different systems, the
two systems must both be part of the same EXPAND network.
