STE[P]
displays the records from the trace file on the home terminal one at a time.
You cannot include this parameter and the OUT parameter in the same DUMP
command.
After each record is displayed, a prompt (?) is displayed. You can respond to
the prompt in the following ways:
<RETURN>
If you press the RETURN key, the next record from the trace file is
displayed. If you press the RETURN key after the last record has been
displayed, an error message is displayed.
nnn
is the sequence number of the trace record you want to display. For
example, if you enter 183, the trace record with sequence number 183 is
displayed.
AS[CII]
displays the trace records in ASCII. Nonprintable characters are displayed
as periods.
BY[TE]
displays the trace records in octal. Each byte is displayed as three octal
digits.
CO[NTROL]
displays the state of the following SNA finite-state machines:
Session control (SC)
Data traffic (DT)
Bracket state machine (BSM)
Half-duplex flip-flop state machine (HDX_FF)
Chain state machine (CHN)
Function management state machine (FMS)
