For information about how the states of the finite-state machines are
encoded, see “Considerations,” below.
OC[TAL]
displays the trace records in octal. Each word (16 bits) is displayed as six
octal digits.
LE[NGTH]
displays only the length of each trace record, which is the length of RU
plus 13. No data or control fields are displayed. If you do not specify
otherwise, the trace file records are displayed in this format.
ER[ROR]
displays the next trace record that records an error.
Q[UIT] | E[XIT]
stops Step mode and returns control to the command interpreter.
STA[RT]
begin
[ /
end
]
specifies the range of trace records to list.
begin
and
end
are sequence
numbers of records in the trace file. If you omit
end
, the range ends with the
last record in the trace file.
If the trace captures more records than the trace file can hold at once, earlier
records are overwritten by later records and the first record no longer has a
sequence number of 1. You can use the Step mode to see the sequence number
of the first record. For more information on the overwriting of records in the
trace file, see the TRACE command, later in this section.
If you omit this parameter, the whole trace file is listed.
MO[DE]
format
specifies the format in which the records from the trace file are listed in the
output file.
format
must be one of the following terms:
AS[CII]
BY[TE]
CO[NTROL]
EB[CDIC]
FL[OW]
HE[X]
OC[TAL]
These formats are the same as described under the STEP parameter, above.
