FLAGS.
Each trace record contains a one-word bit map called FLAGS. The meaning of each bit
is listed in Table 3-2.
Table 3-2. The Trace Record FLAGS Field
Bits Meaning
.<0> Is set to 1 if the block was received from the host; otherwise, it is set to 0.
.<1> Is set to 1 if the block was sent to the host; otherwise, it is set to 0.
.<2> Is set to 0 for data streams from Exchange/SNA to the host (inbound). It is set to 1 for
data streams from the host to Exchange/SNA (outbound).
.<3> Is not used by Exchange/SNA.
.<4> Is set to 1 if the RU contains EBCDIC data; otherwise, it is set to 0.
.<5> This RU requires processing by the presentation services (PS).
.<6:8> Is the file number of the receive file or the send file on the Tandem system.
.<9:10> Are not used by Exchange/SNA.
.<11> Is set to 1 if console data was lost before this trace record; otherwise, it is set to 0.
.<12> Is set to 1 if trace data was lost before this trace record; otherwise, it is set to 0.
.<13:15> Is the number of the Exchange/SNA logical unit that is the source or destination of the
data.
Examples 1. This example shows the DUMP command with the STEP parameter. It also shows
each of the available display formats:
