SET
parameter

parameter
is one of the following terms:
COM[MAND] { (
chr
[ , { SEN[D] | NOSE[ND] } ] ) |
chr
}
specifies a single character that identifies commands to be sent to the host RJE
subsystem.
chr
can be any single, printable character other than a closing
parenthesis, a single quote, or a comma. Any command you enter at the
Exchange/SNA command interpreter’s prompt that begins with
chr
is sent to
the host RJE subsystem for execution.
This parameter requires a line server that supports a console subdevice. You
cannot send commands to the host RJE subsystem without a console
subdevice. See the CONSOLE parameter for information on defining a
console subdevice.
SEN[D]
specifies that
chr
is sent to the host RJE subsystem along with the rest of
the command.
NOSE[ND]
specifies that
chr
is not sent to the host RJE subsystem. Only the
characters following
chr
in the command are sent.
If you omit SEND and NOSEND, the default specification is NOSEND.
If you omit this parameter, no character identifies commands to be sent to the
host RJE subsystem, and you cannot send commands to the host RJE
subsystem.
AU[TOLOGON] { ON | OFF }
If you specify AUTOLOGON ON, the logon request is not sent to the host and
Exchange/SNA waits for the host to send the BIND command.
If you specify AUTOLOGON OFF, the logon request (either a character-coded
logon command or an INIT-SELF command) is sent to the host.
The default value for AUTOLOGON is OFF.
CON[SOLE] { (
opens
[ ,
name
] ) |
opens
}
specifies the name of the console subdevice and the number of times it can be
opened at once. There is at most one console subdevice for a given
