location
specifies the data communications line that you want to use.
\
system
must be the name of an existing Tandem system that is part of the same
Expand network as the system on which the Exchange/SNA command
interpreter is running.
If the line server is on the same system as the SNAX/XF data
communications line or as the SNAX/CDF process, you can omit
\
system
. However, if they are not on the same system as the command
interpreter, the location of the line is more apparent if you specify the
system, even though this is not required.
You must specify \
system
if you want the line server and the SNAX/XF
data communications line or SNAX/CDF process to be accessible from
other systems.

location
for SNAX/CDF, $
location
specifies the SNAX/CDF process and the
open name of the first SNAX/CDF APPL object that Exchange/SNA is to
use. It has the following form:

SNAX/CDF-process-name

openname
SNAX/CDF-process-name
must name an existing CDF process.
openname
specifies the
openname
of an APPL object that has been previously
defined for the specified SNAX/CDF process.
For SNAX/XF, $
location
specifies the SNAX/XF data communications
line and, optionally, the first logical unit (LU) that you want to use. It has
the following form:

line
can be in one of two forms:
line
can be from one to seven alphanumeric characters, of
which the first must be a letter. If the system is also specified,
line
must be no longer than six characters.
line
can be from one to four digits with a maximum value of
4095.
