In either form, $
line
must name an existing data communications
line that was defined during system generation.
lu
specifies which logical unit on the data communications line the line
server uses.
lu
can be up to six alphanumeric characters, of which the
first must be a letter and the last must be the number 1.
lu
must be
the name of an LU that has been defined for the given data
communications line.
The line server uses consecutively numbered LUs, beginning with the
LU specified by
lu
, up to a maximum of six LUs or the number of
available LUs, whichever is less.
If you omit
lu
, the default LU name is RJE01.
The LU specified in this parameter indirectly specifies the physical
unit (PU) used by Exchange/SNA. Each LU is under or belongs to
one PU, and Exchange/SNA uses the PU that owns the LU specified
in this parameter. Exchange/SNA only uses LUs that are under the
same PU.
LOGOF[F]
filename
names a file that is sent to the host when the STOP command is executed.
If you are using SNAX/XF, Exchange/SNA does not parse the contents of the
specified file. The contents of
filename
are put into a USS-character coded
record; you are responsible for ensuring that the contents are in the form
expected by the host.
If you are using SNAX/CDF, Exchange/SNA examines the contents of
filename
and builds a field-formatted TERM-SELF command to send to the
host. The file must contain a LOGOFF command of the following form:
LOGOF[F] [APPLID(
lu
) [TYPE({UNCOND|COND|FORCE}) [HOLD({YES|NO})]]]
where:
lu
is the destination (host) LU name.
In either case, the file you specify must exist and must have a record length of
80 bytes or less. It can be any type of file supported by the operating system,
such as a disk file, a magnetic tape file, a device file (such as a terminal), or
another process.
If you omit the volume name, your current default volume is used. If you
omit both the volume and subvolume names, your current default volume and
subvolume are used.
