PRIO[RITY]
priority
specifies the execution priority of the Exchange/SNA line server.
priority
can be a number between 1 (lowest priority) and 199 (highest priority),
inclusive.
priority
can also be 0, which specifies that the line server is to
run with the same priority as the Exchange/SNA command interpreter. See
the GUARDIAN Programmer’s Guide for suggested values for
priority
.
If you omit this parameter (or specify a priority of 0), the line server runs with
the same priority as the Exchange/SNA command interpreter.
This parameter applies only when the Exchange/SNA line server does not yet
exist. After the line server has been created, you cannot use the
Exchange/SNA command interpreter to change the priority of the line server.
PRO[GRAM] [[[\
system
.]$
volume
.]
subvolume
.]SNAXSV
specifies the system, volume, and subvolume that contains the Exchange/SNA
line server program file (SNAXSV). This parameter causes the first
CONNECT command to start a line server from a program file that resides on
a different subvolume, volume, or system than the Exchange/SNA command
interpreter.
If the command interpreter and the line server are on different systems, the
two systems must be part of the same Expand network.
This parameter cannot be used to change the name of the program file. The
line server is always started from a program file called SNAXSV.
If you omit \
system
, the default system is the system on which the
Exchange/SNA command interpreter resides. If you omit $
volume
, the
default volume is the volume on which the command interpreter resides. If
you omit
subvolume
, the default subvolume is the subvolume on which the
command interpreter resides.
If you specify a remote system for \
system
in the PROGRAM parameter, you
must name the line server and specify the same remote system in the NAME
parameter.
If you omit this parameter, the first CONNECT command starts the line server
from the program file SNAXSV on the system, volume, and subvolume on
which the Exchange/SNA command interpreter resides, unless you have
specified the name of an existing line server in the NAME parameter. If you
name an existing line server, the PROGRAM parameter is ignored.
