RE[ADER] { ( [
number
] [,
class-name
] ) |
number
}
specifies the class name of card-reader subdevices and the number of card-
reader subdevices supported by the line server. Each individual card-reader
subdevice is identified by the class name of card-reader subdevices and a unit
number. For example, if the class name of card-reader subdevices is RD, then
RD3 specifies the third (unit number 3) card-reader subdevice.
class-name
can be from one to six alphanumeric characters, of which the first must be
a letter. If you omit
class-name
, the default class name for card-reader
subdevices is RD.
number
specifies the number of card-reader subdevices supported by the line
server. The maximum number of card-reader subdevices the line server
can support is seven. If you specify 0, the line server supports no card-
reader subdevices. If you omit
number
, the default number of card-reader
subdevices supported by the line server is 1.
If you omit this parameter, the line server supports a single card-reader
subdevice with the name RD1.
This parameter applies only when the Exchange/SNA line server does not yet
exist. After the line server has been created, you cannot change the name or
number of card-reader subdevices supported by the line server.
TH[ROTTLE]
time
specifies the amount of time to wait between sending consecutive blocks of
data to the host. This delay provides a pacing mechanism for operations that
cannot specify inbound (Tandem-to-host) pacing.
time
can be a number from 0 through 255, and is used in 0.01-second units. If
you specify the value 0, there is no delay between inbound blocks.
If you omit this parameter, the default value is 0 (no delay).
TRAC[E] { ON | OFF }
specifies whether or not you must start the Exchange/SNA trace server (using
the TRACE command) after the first CONNECT command. If you are issuing
a CONNECT command for an existing line server, this parameter is ignored.
If you specify TRACE ON, the Exchange/SNA trace server must be started
before the connection to the host is established. Use the TRACE command to
start the trace server. This option allows you to trace the flow of the BIND
requests that establish the LU-LU sessions.
