Configuring Expand-Over-FOX Lines
The Expand-over-FOX line-handler process provides connectivity to an existing FOX
ring. The Expand-over-FOX line-handler process uses the NETNAM protocol to access
the network access method (NAM) interface of the FOX monitor process, $ZZFOX.
An Expand-over-FOX line-handler process can be configured as a single line only;
Expand-over-FOX lines cannot participate as a member of a multi-CPU path
(superpath).
Required Hardware and Software
Several hardware and software components are required in addition to the Expand-
over-FOX line-handler process to provide Expand-over-FOX connectivity. These
components are illustrated in Figure 13-1 and are explained in the following
subsections.
