System Generation Macro and Expand Profile Comparison
On D-series systems, default values for the different types of Expand line-handler
processes are contained in system generation macros. For G-series servers, profiles
are used in a similar way. Table B-2 relates Expand system generation macros used on
D-series systems to Expand profiles.
MICROCODE_FILES
Downloadable files for ServerNet wide area network (SWAN)
concentrators are configured through the SCF interface to the
WAN subsystem.
Downloadable files for Ethernet 4 ServerNet adapters
(E4SAs), Fast Ethernet ServerNet adapters (FESAs), Gigabit
Ethernet ServerNet adapters (GESAs), and Gigabit 4-port
Ethernet ServerNet adapters (G4SAs) are configured through
the SCF interface to the ServerNet LAN systems access
(SLSA) subsystem.
Downloadable files for the ServerNet/FX adapters are
configured through the SCF interface to the ServerNet/FX
adapter subsystem.
PERIPHERALS Expand line-handler processes are configured through the SCF
interface to the WAN subsystem.
