RAM Firmware

For disks that are not used for system load, operational firmware is downloaded to the

FCSA when you issue the first START DISK command to the first disk drive in the fibre

channel loop.

Manufacturing Naming Conventions

HP manufacturing’s naming convention for processes and devices relates logical

names to the physical location of devices.

group

(NonStop S-Series)

is the two-digit number that identifies the IOAM enclosure that contains the FCSA.

group

(Integrity NonStop NS-Series)

is in the range 110 through 115.

module

identifies whether the FCSA is installed in module 2 or 3 of an IOAM enclosure. A

module is either 2 or 3.
