Also use the WWNs to complete the SAC 1 and SAC 2 WWNs on the FCSA Configuration Form.
Connect External Paths
To complete this task, coordinate with the FC switch administrator (if you are connecting to the
ESS through an FC switch) and with the ESS administrator. Provide them with the FCSA to ESS
connection form as shown in Figure 2-4 and ask them to:
1. Have the FCSA connected to the FC switch or ESS (depending on whether you are using
direct connect or switched connect).
CAUTION: Do not connect the fibre channel cables to the FC switch or the ESS yourself.
The ESS or FC switch administrator must perform this task.
2. Update the WWN zoning in the SAN so the ESS recognizes the FCSA.
NOTE: Adding or updating WWNs in the ESS is not required if the FCSA ports are directly
connected to the ESS FC ports.
3. Add WWNs to the ESS host group configurations as appropriate.
4. Start the disk again. (You can expect it to start this time.)
NOTE: You might need to reset the disk before the subsystem accepts the START command.
