Flow Map Host
Introduction

Flow Map Host Flow Map Host (FMH) is the first component of the Flow Map product. It takes a
single consolidated data file created by Tandem Performance Data Collector (TPDC)
and builds a comma separated values (CSV) file to hold the resulting objects and
connection information in a form Flow Map PC (FMP) can read. It also generates
reports which give details about the selected entities, objects and connections,
provides a more readable view of the CSV file, and shows statistics by object type. For
more information about TPDC, consult the Tandem Performance Data Collector (TPDC)
Manual.
Flow Map PC Flow Map PC is the graphical user interface component of Flow Map. FMP displays
the data from the Flow Map Host Sample file as a flow diagram. Each flow diagram
uses icons to represent Flow Map objects and arrows to show how data flows between
them. You can use this diagram for documentation or analysis, or modify it and save
each alternative as a “view.” Then you can print the results as a diagram or as
formatted reports about the performance data of individual objects and connections.
