Installing Flow Map on
the Host
This subsection describes how to install Flow Map Host (FMH). FMH requires the
Tandem NonStop system release C30 or D20 and the Measure and TPDC software
products.
Installation Procedures The INSTALL program transfers a release of Flow Map Host from tape to an
Installation Subvolume (ISV). Generally, a system manager installs FMH at your site
by using the INSTALL program documented in the System Generation Manual.
Install FMH software files from the Site Update Tape (SUT). The INSTALL program
restores FMH files from the SUT onto the Distribution Subvolume (DSV) and then
copies them to the ISV during the installation process.
You do not need to perform a SYSGEN to install FMH because FMH does not bind any
files in the operating system.
Installation Subvolume When you restore FMH files from the SUT, the following files are located in the ISV
(ZFMH):
File name Description
A0CINFO Configuration files
CONFIG Template configuration file

Sample FMH Installation This sample assumes that you are logged on as SUPER.OPER.
