5 Flow Map Tutorial

To use this section as a tutorial, please make sure the host sample FLOWDEMO.FMH
included in the Flow Map product files is copied to C:\FLOWMAP\DATA. The
performance data for the FLOWDEMO sample is artificial and does not represent data
from any real application.
Starting Flow Map Start Flow Map by double-clicking the Flow Map icon in the Program Manager group
where you installed Flow Map:
Flow Map initializes and displays the Flow Map Excel window:
The Flow Map Excel window displays the Flow Map toolbar. The toolbar provides
useful shortcuts for many of the Flow Map menu operations. For details on using the
toolbar, see Section 4.
You do not need the toolbar during this tutorial. Close the toolbar by clicking its
minus sign.
The diagram in this tutorial is built from an existing Host sample. You do not need to
open another sample. To find out how to open Host samples, see the subsection
Opening A Host Sample near the end of this section.
