Safeguard
Safeguard
You can now use wild cards to name objects in a diskfile access control list (ACL). The
DISKFILE-PATTERN object type provides patterns you can use to protect multiple
diskfiles. This new functionality is OFF by default.
Migration
Starting with the G06.25 RVU, including the Safeguard software in the OSIMAGE
results in no TACL prompt after a system load. It is required that Safeguard be
removed from the OSIMAGE in order to load the G06.25 RVU. To configure the
Safeguard software to run continuously from the time the system is loaded until the
time it is stopped, the Safeguard software must be added as a persistent process to
the Kernel Subsystem. For detailed information on this and other optional Safeguard

Manual, Section 10.
Fallback
There are considerations for possible fallback to a previous Safeguard T9750 SPR.
Compatibility with previous Safeguard SPRs is maintained. However, if the T9750AER
SPR is installed and the DISKFILE-PATTERN feature is used, you must evaluate if
equivalent non-pattern protection records are required after fallback. See the
