4 Database and Transaction Processing Products The G06.26 RVU contains new features for these database and transaction processing products: • • TMF 3.3 TS/MP 2.1 (Controlled Availability) TMF 3.3 The HP NonStop Transaction Management Facility (TMF) includes T2076, T2781, T8302, T8606, T8607, T8608, T8609, T8652, T8694, T8695, T8696, T8697, and T8698. For G06.26, TMF 3.
Database and Transaction Processing Products Fallback Information about attributes set by these options is also available through the INFO TMF and STATUS TMF commands. • • • • • Ability to use file-name patterns as input to the TMFCOM DUMP FILES, INFO DUMPS, and RECOVER FILES commands. This feature is provided by the specifier, which identifies an Edit-format or C-data file that contains the filename patterns.
Database and Transaction Processing Products Migration Migration In general, all TS/MP 2.0 applications that use Pathsend requesters and TS/MP 2.0 scripts (also called OBEY files) can run in a TS/MP 2.1 environment. However, you might need to modify the PATHMON process configuration to achieve optimum TS/MP 2.1 performance (due to a new algorithm for link management that may require more or fewer links to server processes). Fallback You must consult HP support if you have installed TS/MP 2.

5 Installation and Configuration Products The G06.26 RVU contains new features for this installation and configuration product: • DSM/SCM DSM/SCM After ZPHIRNM runs successfully on a target, DSM/SCM sends a dial-out report to $DSMSCM.ZDSMSCM.SWCONFIG. The report contains the list of product revisions that have been activated on the target. DSM/SCM does not send the dial-out report when ZPHIRNM is run in preview mode. See the G06.

6 Manageability Products The G06.26 RVU contains new features for these manageability products: • • • • OSM PSTATE Safeguard OSS File Creation Check WHOHAS OSM The HP NonStop Open System Management (OSM) Interface Service Connection Suite (T0682AAC) has been enhanced for G06.26 to provide: • • • • System-level actions to support automatic data collection for failed system resources. See the OSM User's Guide or online help for information on enabling and configuring automatic data collection.
WHOHAS Manageability Products removed during migration, you must reinstate them when falling back. To verify successful fallback, create OSS files. WHOHAS WHOHAS looks for openers of a specified object, such as a disc file, communications device, or process. WHOHAS reports the openers of the device. For disc files, WHOHAS also reports which users use the file as a swap file and which processes execute code from the file. G06.
7 Hardware Products The G06.26 RVU contains new features for these hardware products: • • ESS XP12000 NonStop S-Series CO Servers ESS XP12000 The XP12000 is the next generation of the Enterprise Storage System (ESS). All ESS models (including XP128, XP1024, and XP12000) are supported on the G06.24 and later RVUs.
Fallback Hardware Products You can perform the migration of existing data from a previous model ESS to an XP12000 online, provided that the capacity of the volume on the XP12000 is equal to or greater than the capacity of the previous model ESS. For instructions, see the Modular I/O Installation and Configuration Guide. Fallback No online fallback from 512-byte to 514-byte sectored disks is provided. Fallback requires reverse migration of data in an offline manner.
8 Networking Products The G06.26 RVU contains new features for this networking product: • GDSX GDSX • • • Extended General Device Support (GDSX) now supports format 2 files. GDSX supports the ability of a GDSX process to access a file of size greater than 4 GB by using pseudo procedure call ^FILE_OPEN/ ^XFILE_OPEN. A new element, elections, is added to the common template structure FCB^TEMPLATE. TS Fault Codes 21 to 26 are added.
