The HP NonStop Open System Management (OSM) Interface Service Connection
Suite (T0682AAC) has been enhanced for G06.26 to provide:
•
System-level actions to support automatic data collection for failed system
resources. See the OSM User's Guide or online help for information on enabling
and configuring automatic data collection.
•
New Process Pair attributes for several disk, tape, and cluster-related objects. See
"What's New in This Guide" in the OSM User's Guide or online help for details.
•
Support for Redundant Power Scrub action on Telco systems.
•
Defect repair. See the T0682AAC softdoc for a complete list of problems fixed.
PSTATE
PSTATE takes a snapshot of a running process. It displays information about all the
code and swap files associated with the process, a procedure stack trace and
information about all the files opened by the process.
Safeguard OSS File Creation Check
Starting with G06.26, Safeguard volume protection records are no longer consulted for
creation of HP NonStop Open System Services (OSS) files.
Migration
Safeguard volume protection records that prevent or allow creation of OSS files are no
longer needed. Volume protection records can be revised or removed, depending on
how they were designed. If volume protection records exist as part of a Guardian
security policy and were modified to accommodate OSS, the accommodations can
now be removed.
Fallback
If you receive security errors when attempting to create OSS files, consider falling back
by installing the previous SPR for T8621. If the volume protection records were
