You can perform the migration of existing data from a previous model ESS to an
XP12000 online, provided that the capacity of the volume on the XP12000 is equal to
or greater than the capacity of the previous model ESS. For instructions, see the
Modular I/O Installation and Configuration Guide.
Fallback
No online fallback from 512-byte to 514-byte sectored disks is provided. Fallback
requires reverse migration of data in an offline manner.
NonStop S-Series CO Servers
All HP NonStop S-series Central Office (CO) servers, except for NonStop S76SE and
NonStop S78SE servers, support I/O enclosures containing IOMF 2 FRUs beginning
with the G06.26 RVU. In addition, they are supported on the G06.24 and G06.25 RVUs
if you install the OSM Service Connection Suite SPR T0682^G06^AAC.
OSM supports I/O enclosures on NonStop S-series CO servers. Compaq TSM does
not.
NonStop S-series CO servers running G06.17 and later RVUs support the Tetra 8
ServerNet topology in addition to the Tetra 16 topology.
These ServerNet adapters are now supported on NonStop S-series CO servers:

3863 Fast Ethernet ServerNet adapter (FESA) for G06.00 and later RVUs.
•
3865 Gigabit Ethernet ServerNet adapter (GESA) for G06.16 and later RVUs.
