Database and Transaction
Processing Products
The G06.27 RVU contains new features for these database and transaction processing
products:
SQL/MP
SQL/MX
SQL/MP
NonStop SQL/MP supports the REPAIR option for the SQLCI VERIFY command.
The REPAIR option directs VERIFY to re-create a missing SQL object using
information available in the catalog. The newly created object does not contain any
data. With this option, the VERIFY command creates the physical object and checks
the object for definitional integrity. The REPAIR option provides support for tables,
partitions, views, and indexes.
For details, see the SQL/MP Reference Manual and the SQL/MP Messages Manual.
SQL/MX
NonStop SQL/MX Release 2.1.1 is included in the G06.27 SUT and is available as an
SPR set that uses the ABX identifier. Release 2.1.1 is a maintenance release that, by
itself, contains no significant installation, fallback, or migration considerations.
However, Release 2.1.1 is based on and includes all of the functionality delivered in
Release 2.1.0. Release 2.1.0 is an incremental release delivered as an SPR set using
the ABU identifier. Release 2.1.0 has installation, fallback, and migration
considerations. Therefore, if you migrate to G06.27 or install the Release 2.1.1 SPRs,
Release 2.1.0 considerations apply.
Release 2.1.0 includes these new features and characteristics:
Performance enhancements.
Support for the EXTEND function in SQL/MP views and constraints accessed
through NonStop SQL/MX.
Support for the CURRENT function, including start-end field specifiers, in SQL/MP
views and constraints accessed through NonStop SQL/MX.
NSM/web support for using the ALTER command to alter SQL/MX object
definitions.
