Determine the Current and New Versions of SP Firmware
When updating SP firmware, you need:
•
The SP firmware version for your current RVU to determine that the SPs are in a
known, good state before you begin the SP firmware update
•
The SP firmware version for the G06.27 RVU to verify that the SP firmware has
successfully updated
You can also use this FILEINFO command to see all the processor and SP firmware
currently on all SYSnn’s:
TACL> FILEINFO $SYSTEM.SYS*.*CODE*
To determine the correct versions of SP firmware using the VPROC command:
1. At a TACL prompt, issue the VPROC command to verify the location and version of
the SP firmware for the G06.27 RVU:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSnn.SPCODE9
where nn is the number specified during the Build/Apply phase of installing the
G06.27 RVU. For example:
\bitty $SYSTEM.SYS17 3> vproc spcode9

2. Record the version of SP firmware.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 by using the SYSnn for your current RVU. For example (if
you are on G06.26):
