DSM/SCM and the G06.27 RVU

If you have to fall back to a previous RVU and a pre-T6031D46^ABK product
version of DSM/SCM, you must run the T6031G02 FALLBACK macro even if
you have installed previous T6031D46 SPRs. You can export the FALLBACK
macro from the DSM/SCM Archive before you perform a system load or you
can use the FUP DUP command.

Install the Software Identification (SWID) product (T9298G02) with the DSM/SCM
SPRs before receiving the SUT. See Appendix B, Installing the Latest DSM/SCM
SPRs and Client Software. Download this product version update (PVU) even if
you have an interim SWID product (T9298D40^AAM) already installed.
DSM/SCM and the G06.27 RVU
Starting with the G06.18 RVU, a new configuration file, A7CINFO, is introduced for
managing OSS files. Install the T6031G02 product version update (PVU) on the host
system before receiving the SUT. The corresponding client version of the software
must also be installed.
To upgrade the DSM/SCM client, download the DSM/SCM client version from the
ZDSMSCM subvolume from the SUT and install it. (If you have acquired new system
consoles, the most up-to-date DSM/SCM client is already installed.) For download and

HP recommends that the target systems be upgraded to the T6031G02 version of
DSM/SCM before the host system is upgraded to this SPR.
Installing Required or Recommended SPRs Before Installing a
New RVU
Before installing G06.27, install required or recommended SPRs. An SPR could be
required for any of these reasons:

To prepare for fallback
•
To install a defect repair for a product that is required for a successful upgrade
•
To maintain interoperability for a product across a network
To determine which SPRs you should apply to your current RVU before you install
G06.27, see Section 3, Installing SPRs Before Upgrading to the G06.27 RVU.
