Check the Tape Drive Status
Check the Tape Drive Status
Check that the tape drive to be used to install the SUT is started and online:
1. At a TACL prompt, enter:
> SCF STATUS TAPE $*
2. Verify that the STATUS TAPE display includes the tape subsystem you plan to use
to load the SUT. For example:
STORAGE - Status TAPE \ELI.$SILO2
LDev State Primary Backup DeviceStatus
PID PID
138 STARTED 0,295 1,279 ONLINE
3. If the tape subsystem you plan to use is not listed, select another tape drive or add
the tape drive to your system configuration. The state of that tape drive must be
STARTED, and the device status must be ONLINE.
4. If the status of the tape drive is stopped or not ready, start the tape drive and put
the tape drive online.
Check Products With Possible Regressions
Check products that might experience regression during the upgrade. These products
include Spooler Plus (T9593), Enform Plus (T0295), and CRE/RTL (T1269). If these
products are present in your current configuration, take the recommended action after
the upgrade is complete.
Spooler Plus (T9593)
Enter the following command to determine if Spooler Plus has been bound into the
Spool object:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.SPOOL
If Spooler Plus has been bound into the Spool object, the VPROC output appears
similar to:
Version Procedure: T9593D41^10MAY99^IPM^T9593AAD
If Spooler Plus is present on your system before the upgrade, it must reconfigured after
the upgrade is complete.
Enform Plus (T0295)
Enter the following command to determine if Enform Plus has been installed:
VPROC $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.ENFORM
If Enform Plus has been installed, then you must load and run the Enform Plus macro
after the upgrade to the new RVU.
